Devlog #1
My teams goals were to design a prototype that visually communicates the idea of our game. In the visual art aspect in the drawn prototype we see circles representing characters. One circle represents a teacher or professor, which has a light source coming from it. The teachers light source is basically the teachers view , a view you must avoid. This idea is also shown in the other computer designed prototype. Next we have the other circle with a light source and that represents the teachers helper. This light source is much smaller than the teachers but the teachers helper moves around more than the teacher.
There are plenty of other circle that represent students and a circle which represents you the player. The process has been to jot any additional info down and clean up any holes in our design of a level. The play test was to see if our game made sense visually and that the game was communicated to the player. Next week what I want from the team is for the game to be designed in unity a little; at having a character move. I will make suggestions to the game programmer. I want to learn how to do collisions with the light source that comes from the obstacles/ enemies. Our play testers were the “Hunted” team. They suggested we add a new enemy that tell on you if you cheat off of their test. That new enemy may be added. We also got suggestions from the professor to add colors with a random jibber jabber that represents subjects. The colors would also represent which student is confident in that subject.
